Public displays of female machismo, on the other hand, are very now. What do Sydney Bristow, Buffy Summers, and even that itty bitty little spitfire Dana Scully have in common? They kick ass and chew bubble gum. And they are all out of bubble gum.
Ridiculous male catfight fantasy? Sexist hooey? Inappropriate celebration of mindless violence? Rubbish. We say the highest compliment you can pay your best girl is to let the world know she could fishhook some bar skank without breaking a sweat.
And if she can’t, maybe your wearing the shirt will inspire her to take a kickboxing class and make your shirtly sentiment come true. Or maybe she’ll try to beat you up girly-style, and you can let her win.
